Orthodontists typically recommend avoiding foods that are crunchy, hard, sticky, or chewy. These foods are more likely to pull a wire or bracket loose at the most inconvenient time (like during a holiday party), which could require a visit to the orthodontist for repair.
But don’t get discouraged, because there are still lots of yummy holiday treats to choose from: mashed potatoes, sweet yams, cooked veggies, puddings, custards, fruit pies, cream pies, soups, casseroles, and many more!
